Oro Catering

OVERVIEW

Oro Catering is a catering service that serves authentic Italian food. It is also the official manager of the restaurant at the Italian Embassy in Washington DC.

Like Pizza University, Oro Catering is another sister company to Marra Forni. Since it was started more recently in comparison to the other companies, it is still relatively small and undergoing development. Though I was only tasked with designing a few materials for Oro Catering, I believe that beginning to create consistency in the first few projects is especially important for newer companies.

THE CHALLENGE

Working with different branding guidelines for Oro Catering meant that I had to learn more about the tone of this company compared to the other sister and parent companies I worked alongside with. The company wanted to create a certain level of elegance with their branding to match their deep blue and gold colors.

THE SOLUTION

I carefully designed the materials with simplicity intricately incorporated into the overall design to create a more refined and elegant atmosphere. To enhance this, I strategically used the gold color as an accent throughout my designs, ensuring that it would not come off as too strong or overpowering.

Menu Flyer

The company needed a well-designed menu flyer that could effectively be utilized for both print and digital media purposes. As a newer company, there were not too many previous assets to reference for guidance. I worked on creating a product that could cleanly display all the menu items while ensuring that the branding remained simple, consistent, and easy to recognize for potential customers.

Gift Voucher

The company had needed a gift voucher that could be handed to VIPs as a thank-you at events. I was given general info to include, but creative freedom otherwise. Using Illustrator, I crafted together a gift voucher that followed the company’s branding.
